The Peechi Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary here is an added attraction for the wildlife lovers. Located amidst the dense evergreen forests in the catchments area of the Peechi and Vazhani dams, the sanctuary is home to a variety of flora and fauna. At about 7 km from Thrissur is located the Children's Park, a beautiful hillside picnic spot.
